The area now known as Blayney Ranch has been used for filming in the Antelope Valley since the 1950's. Scenes from the classic horror film "Them" were filmed here as well as major motion pictures like "The Flintstones - Viva Rock Vegas". Many commercials and music videos have also chosen Blayney Ranch for its unique and picturesque rock formations.

Blayney Ranch has also been the host location for other activities such as the High Desert 4-Wheelers annual "Shredfest". This is a challenging, off-road event that tests the driver's skill as well as the vehicle's capabilities.

In addition to the natural scenery the ranch also has a horse corral and a compound area consisting of an old mobile home, several junk vehicles and sheds, and other various piles of debris all available for filming use. Currently there are several horses and a mule named "Pancho" on the property, and we also have an on-site caretaker.

This land has been owned by the Blayney family since 1977. The ranch was operated by J. Leonard Blayney from 1977 until 1999 when, due to health reasons, Leonard had to relinquish control of the ranch. The filming activities continued under the management of Leonard's sons, Stephen and Randall.
